iGame Online Gaming Service: Standard Terms and Conditions of Service Usage.Purpose of Standard Terms and Conditions of Usage. The purpose of the Standard Terms and Conditions of Usage (hereafter referred to as "STCU"), is to ensure that all gamers benefit from the same secure gaming environment while using iGame servers. Scope of STCU The STCU applies to all registered iGame forum members, public members, as well as visitors from outside of the Republic of South Africa. The STCU extends to all iGame servers, whether it is web servers (iGame forum), ftp servers, games server or rental servers etc. Specifically excluded from scope are things like IRC, external voice communication applications, chat programs and personal email communication. iGame Support and administration do not extend to these features of online gaming and communication. The rules set out below should be adhered to at all times. iGame services and Responsibilities: The portal and its administrators are not liable for server slots being unavailable, but will endeavour to ensure that slots for players are constantly updated through the addition of additional servers and titles. Should a subscriber or player not have a slot available for online play, iGame administration will rectify the problem within 12 hours from initial report. iGame further endeavours to provide subscribers with dedicated gaming support for all servers and titles hosted on the portal. Public Admin iGame has recruited a number of Public Admins that are responsible for enforcing the STCU on iGame servers. Our Admins are all respected members in the gaming community and by playing on our servers YOU the player agree to treat them with RESPECT. The Admins have been requested to play with their default NICK's, but this is not required. Senior Portal Administrators will be present on most iGame servers and will use the /iGame\ prefix. Admins are responsible for keeping the servers clean of abusive users and for tasks like changing maps and adding more time to the games been played. Admins have the right to enforce the terms of the STCU, which include the right to BAN you if you have broken any part of our STCU in their sole discretion. No prior warning is required. Players found breaking any part of our STCU will be banned for a minimum period of 1 month. Depending on the severity of the transgression the ban period may be extended to a permanent ban. iGame reserves the right to enforce a complete portal ban if deemed necessary. This also includes banning of all cd-keys that may be owned by the abusive players. The ban period may be extended at the discretion of senior portal administrators. If a specific player is suspected of Cheating or using external game enhancing applications, Admins reserve the right to question / investigate the player by any means necessary to determine liability of player for punishment. Abusive treatment of Admin members will not be tolerated, if there is a dispute regarding the punishment or actions of an Admin member, players may report such incidents to a Senior Portal Administrator .Impersonating an Admin or iGame representative is a bannable offence. Cheating / Game Enhancement Cheating or Hacking as it is more commonly referred to in ANY form will result in an immediate ban from the iGame servers (cdkey & most used nickname will be banned). iGame reserves the right to scan players for cheats. Whenever cheaters are caught via an automated system, or by solid telltales shown to an observing admin, the cheater(s) will be removed. Cheating or Hacking is defined as any unlawful measure that gives a player an unfair advantage over others and includes all, but is not limited to, the following: Aimbots Autofire 3rd-party program Wallhacks Happy Flag (huge models) Spiked models, money or spell Exploits Fast reload/weapon switch scripts Binding (Binding in such a manner as to alter the intended function of an in-game feature.) Disabling/exploiting/bypassing game attributes such as a smoke-removal hack, using the cloak- pack or shield pack bugs to "stack" attributes Scripted bunnyhop Ghosting (A dead player using the camera to assist a live player via voice over IP, telephone, across a room, etc) Macros for constructions Other such influential advantages that give the player an unfair advantage, therefore effectively handicapping the other players on the server. Players who are unsure if their activities constitute an unfair advantage, should consult their respective Game Admin or Senior Portal Administrator. Stats boosting or Stat Padding in games that have public global rankings like Battlefield 2 is regarded as cheating and players caught boosting or padding their stats will be banned. Stat Padding, furthermore defined as the altering of Stats, Scores or Outcomes through direct circumvention of Standard Game play in ANY game, is also strictly prohibited. Unsportsmanlike Behaviour Players may not use any offensive or sexually explicit language in chat or voice mode. Not adhering to this rule may lead to a temporary or permanent ban. Derogatory language and slander involving race, gender, sexual preference, religion or creed, including negative use of otherwise harmless words is not tolerated. This policy is enforced across the board. Offensive and pornographic sprays may not be used. Offensive nicks used in-game will not be tolerated. The use of another player's nick is also not allowed. If players think that they are using another player's nick, please confirm this in the online stats before continuing to use the nick. This rule also applies to CLAN TAG'S. Players that deliberately hinder their team (such as by flash-banging their own team-mates, stacking det-packs to block doorways, shooting friendly players off of stations, and so on) may be removed without warning. However, a player that is intentionally (and sadistically) disabling their own team goes against the idea of the 'serious gamer', and is therefore not welcome on our servers. Team killing, (Tk'ing) is also considered an act of immaturity. Once or twice on accident is forgivable. But team killing intentionally for revenge or for fun, will not be tolerated. Players may not use any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable language toward any other player. Players may not harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to another player. A little healthy trash-talk is fine and appropriate to gaming, just as it is to almost any other sporting event. However, prolonged and unsolicited harassment may be grounds for removal. In the event that a player feels the need to continually harass another gamer, they will be requested to cease immediately. If they continue, they may be removed. Players may not post or communicate any player's real world personal information. Players may not accuse others of cheating, if you feel that someone is cheating please report it to an Admin. Spoonerisms may not be used in in-game chat as well as part of your player name in-game. Spoonerisms are words or phrases in which letters or syllables get swapped. IGame reserves the right to deny service to any people or persons that are deemed are reckless, causing damage, or disrupting the use of the game servers for other players. Dynamic On Server Rules - Falls under the Scope of the Admin "On Server" at the time of incident. Voting - One vote is allowed in total for each map This vote may be called during the first 30 Seconds of the map. No additional votes are allowed 0 including but not limited to Mid Map Votes and End Map Votes. Teabagging - In Moderation Teabagging is not in itself a bannable offence. If however a player continuously Teabags another, to humiliate that player, and is found to be doing so in an abusive manner, the matter may be elevated to a bannable offence. CAPS - Dependant on Players and Servers If a player is continuously "Spamming" in CAPS, or flooding chat , he may be given a warning at which stage the On Server Admin may Kick the player guilty of "Spamming" or "Flooding" Chat Colour Binds - Players continuously "Spamming" colour-binds in general chat may be given a warning or kicked. Colour-binds are disruptive and on specific servers are counterproductive to general server population and game-play. Team Stacking - Team or Clan stacking by numbers of players on the same public or open server is strictly prohibited. This unbalances general public or open server game-play and detracts from the general enjoyment of the game. Players wishing to play on the same server in teams may book a clan or closed server from an Admin. Spawn Raping - In certain game modes in certain titles - Spawn Raping is a general offence that is considered disruptive towards general game-play. This includes CoD 4 Sabotage and CoD WAW Sabotage game-modes. Players may not "Camp" the enemy teams spawn. This is considered Span Camping and players guilty of this offence may be removed from the server. Players may move with the Bomb or Bomb carrier towards the enemy spawn with no consequences. Deliberate TK'ing through Team Switching At Spawn in certain titles it is possible to throw grenades and switch teams, thereby avoiding multiple team-kills and scoring points on passive kills. This is strictly prohibited and considered disruptive to general server game-play. Players guilty of this offence may be removed form the server immediately. Accusing players of hacking, repeatedly, is also a banable offence, first a warning then a kick and if this player persists he or she will be banned. In the event of a suspected cheating or binding incident or in the event that a player requires a ban, please refer the matter to the Senior Admins for immediate enforcing. General Rules Players may not arrange for the exchange or transfer of any pirated software or other contraband while making use of any iGame / iBurst or iStorm services. Players may not market, promote or advertise anything, or make any other form of solicitation (including pyramid schemes and chain letters) on any of our services. This extends to usage of url's as or part of nicknames used within the game. If you are sponsored you may only use the company name a reference and not the complete url of that company. For example (CLAN)Joe - www.telkom.co.za may not be used the correct usage should be (CLAN)Joe – Telkom.
